What is Wipro Talent Next Program?

Wipro Elite National Talent Hunt is Wipro’s fresher hiring program. It intends to onboard talent from 2021 and 2022 engineering graduates from all over the country.

Moreover, its objective is to present a level playing field to all engineering graduates irrespective of their societal status or upbringing. Wipro has announced that it will hire at least 30,000 new freshers in the financial year 2023-24 and at least 70% more fresh talent from the campus compared to the previous year. As you can see, the opportunity is vast here.

Wipro Elite National Talent Hunt Overview

Open for engineering graduates of 2021 and 2022, the application process is now live.

Important dates:

  • Start of registration: 2nd May 2022
  • End of registration: 22nd May 2022
  • Online assessment: From 21st May to 5th June 2022

Eligibility:

  • Only graduates of 2021 and 2022 are allowed.
    • B.E. / B.Tech (Compulsory degree)/ M.E. / M. Tech (5-year integrated course) / full-time course recognised by the Central/State Government of India.
    • Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, Agriculture and Food technology graduates are excluded.
    • 60% or 6.0 CGPA or equivalent as per your university guidelines.
    • Candidates who cleared the 10th and 12th standards from part-time/correspondence/distance learning platforms will NOT be allowed. Only full-time courses are allowed.
  • 10th and 12th standard: 60% or above.
    • Only one Backlog is allowed at the time of assessment, and the offer is subject to all backlogs being cleared.
    • A maximum of 3 years of discontinuation in education is allowed from 10th to graduation.
  • Candidates who have participated in any selection process held by Wipro in the last six months are not eligible.
  • Must be a citizen of India. Graduates from Bhutan and Nepal need to show their citizenship certificates.

Exam pattern:

The process consists of an online test and two rounds.

  • Online Assessment
  • Technical round
  • HR round / Business Discussion

The Online Assessment comprises 3 sections, namely:

  • The aptitude test consists of Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability, and English (verbal) Ability and the time allowed is 48 mins.
  • Written Communication test, where a candidate has to write down an essay in 20 mins.
  • Online Programming test where two problems of coding have to be solved within 60 mins. The candidate can choose any of the programming languages, viz. Java, C, C++ or Python.

Once you clear the online assessment round, shortlist for the Technical round and HR interview. The main purpose of these rounds is to assess your technical knowledge and work ethic.

Candidates will be thoroughly assessed based on the projects they have done, their role in the projects, technical knowledge, social outlook, personal opinions etc. Also, the candidate should be ready to face any kind of question. These rounds are supposed to be friendly, where communication skills along with industry knowledge are assessed.

Once you clear the technical and HR rounds, you are almost there.

What’s next?

Once you clear the exam, the technical round and the HR/Business Discussion rounds, they make you offer a Letter of Intent followed by the Offer letter for the post of Project Engineer.

Salary and Perks

The starting salary would be 3.5 LPA. A selected candidate would be eligible for a flat bonus of INR 25000 post-completion of 6 months of service. Additional Merge bonus would be on the 18th, 24th, and 36th month from the date of Joining. Regular yearly increments are also provided by the company.

However, there is a service agreement applicable for 12 months from the date of joining @ INR 75000 on a pro-rata basis. Although, it means if a selected candidate wishes to leave the service before 12 months, they have to pay an amount equivalent to the number of days left for the completion of the service agreement.
