* Final-year candidates can also apply if their course is completed before admission. Such candidates have to provide proof in the form of a certificate signed by the head of their institute.

3. Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 out of 10 GPA required (55% marks and 6.0 GPA in case of reserved categories–SC/ST/PwD)

4. A maximum of three attempts are allowed for each candidate

5. The upper age limit is 27 years (5-year relaxation for reserved categories)

Note: In addition to these eligibility criteria, candidates are required to bring original documents along with two photocopies and their admit card for verification at the time of admission.

NIMCET Entrance Exam Pattern:

The Mathematics section has 50 questions, the Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning section has 40, the Computer Awareness section has 20, and the General English section has 10.

NIMCET Entrance Exam Marking Scheme:

1. Every correct answer is awarded full marks, while every wrong answer leads to a deduction of 25% marks.

*Candidates are advised to avoid attempting questions if unsure of the answer. It’s better to write incorrect answers. No score deduction occurs for unanswered questions.

2. Indicating multiple answers for a question results in a negative marking.

3. During the NIMCET-2024 online exam, candidates must mark responses according to the instructions shown on the screen.

NIMCET Entrance Exam Syllabus:

1. Mathematics: Set theory, probability and statistics, algebra, coordinate geometry, calculus, vectors, and trigonometry.

2. Analytical ability & logical reasoning: Logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage.

Step 1: Registration

1. Access the official website of NIMCET 2024

2. Click on the registration link

3. Enter your name, personal Email ID, and mobile number

4. Click on the link sent to your personal Email ID to set the password

5. Set up security questions and answers

6. You will be redirected to the application webpage

To apply for NIMCET 2024, candidates must keep track of important dates related to the registration process.

Step 2: Fill Out the NIMCET 2024 Application Form

1. Log in with the ID you created

2. Read the instructions carefully and fill in the required personal and academic details

1. Upload scanned images of your passport-sized photo and signature

2. Upload all your mark sheets/grade cards and a valid proof of identity

3. Pay the application fee

  • The application fee for Gen/EWS/OBC category candidates is INR 2500
  • The application fee for SC/ST category candidates is INR 1250

*Application fees can be paid only using a credit/debit card or internet banking

Note: The application form will be submitted automatically after the application fees have been successfully paid. Candidates need not send the printout of the application form to the NIMCET office but should keep it safe until the counselling and admission process is completed.
