Required Knowledge Level and Syllabus

Through TCS Digital, the interviewers try to analyse the candidates’ overall approach toward solving complex challenges and thought processes. A strong sense of aptitude, logical reasoning, or algorithm designing are some must-have qualities. Of course, the interviewers don’t expect them to be a topper in their discipline. However, recruiters seek a good understanding of topics like data structures, networking, operating systems, and competitive programming.

If you have prequalified for TCS CodeVita, cracking TCS Digital will be easy for you, as both exams have similar questions and difficulty levels. The same goes for the TCS Ninja test, as after being onboarded by TCS with the Ninja profile, you have 6 attempts to upgrade from TCS Ninja to the TCS Digital profile.

Rounds and the Recruitment Process

TCS Digital assesses a candidate’s problem-solving skills, which can be nurtured by weeks of ongoing preparation. The recruitment process comprises 3 rounds, which have the following tests and elements:

  • Round 1 comprises three areas – verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, and advanced coding. The verbal ability section shall consist of 10-15 questions, and you have to finish it within 10 minutes; the quantitative aptitude section has 15-20 minutes, which you need to solve within 40 minutes of duration. For the advanced coding section, you must solve 2 codes within 60 minutes.
  • Round 2 is the technical interview round. The questions are based on engineering background and assess the candidate’s coding, logical reasoning, and data interpretation skills. Most of the questions will be from a Computer Science or IT background with the following topics: Data Structures and Algorithms, SQL, Database Management Systems, the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Blockchain.
  • Round 3 is the final round aimed at assessing the candidates’ overall personality and how well they would be able to adjust to the TCS working environment and cope with the pressure. For this round, keep a note of your hobbies, learned skills, and favourite activities.
